The 3 Lions desperate for a win against Russia #EURO2016

The Queen’s Three Lions goes into tonight Group B encounter against Russia, under pressure to win and cancel off a very embarrassing 2014 World Cup failure.
England has failed to step up and win a major football title since lifting the world cup trophy in 1966. It’s been 50 years of no glory for the mighty 3 Lions, and Roy Hodgson would definitely be looking at getting an entry into football records by leading his charges to victory.

As always England is expected to win their opening match against a formidable Russian team, who themselves are no pushover overs. Failure to get a result against Russia will definitely put the English on a back foot going into the second group match against fellow United Kingdom neighbours Wales.

Hodgson has a fully fit team to pick for the first eleven, although defenders Gary Cahill and Chris Smalling received medical attention on their injuries this week. However they’re expected to be 100% for the match. All eyes are surely going to be on the red hot Arsenal bound striker Jamie Vardy to emulate his Premier League form that saw him propel Leicester City to the top spot.

I am of a view that Russia has assembled their weakest team for this tournament especially with the absence of Igor Denisov, Alan Dzagoev, Denis Cheryshev, Yuri Zhirkov and Oleg Kuzmin. Putin’s men might as well start packing their bags, as I don’t see them coming out of Group B.

England Possible Line Up: Hart, Walker, Smalling, Cahill, Rose, Dier, Rooney, Alli, Lallana, Sterling & Kane

The 3 Lions are walking away with a WIN.
